NBA Odds

Basketball betting is a lot like the other top level US sports, the odds are shown in the normal american way, otherwise known as "vegas odds". These odds are shown as + or - 100 which is an outcome from a $100 bet. For example, odds of -110 means that you would need place a bet of $110 to win $100, or a total return of $210. Odds of +110 means that for a $100 bet you would win $110, again with a total return of $210. so the betting lines for an NBA game may show +150 for one team and -140 for another, meaning the first team is the underdog and the second team is the favourite. Just like the odds, NBA betting sites normally offer the same bet types as with most other sports. An NBA moneyline bet means betting on which team will win the game. An NBA point spread is how many points a team can either win or lose by to win a bet. For example, if the NBA spread is (-3) your team will need to win by at least four points to win the bet. There are also NBA totals bets which is a bet on the final score of both teams being higher or lower than a given number. This is normally shown as o227 -110 or u227 -110. There are also NBA futures bets over the entire NBA season on which team will ultimately win the NBA finals and be awarded the Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy. Like other sports, most online sports betting sites offer alternative bets, such as a "no draw bet" which means that a team will either win outright or lose.
